Really Small Stuff is a Big Deal

Custom NanoInk Video

That’s a Wrap: Our Latest High-Definition Video with 3D Animation

In early October of 2011, Bruce Dudzik, Vice President of the Nano BioDiscovery Division of NanoInk, Inc., engaged us to help them visually explain the benefits of their new automated platform for the analysis of their protein NanoArray assays. Within three months and three major holidays, we delivered this state-of-the-art high definition video including custom 3D animation, professional voice-over and underlying music track, scientist interviews and HD videography, shot on-site at NanoInk’s labs. We couldn’t do this alone. A project of this complexity and quality was produced by teaming with Barb McKittrick of The Strategy Factory, as our subject-matter-expert and script writer, as well as 1080, Inc. as our videography and 3D development team. Brad Glendenning, our in-house Creative Director, wore more hats than are hanging in his closet: producer, art director, client and team liaison and project manager. Our long term background in working with the Nano BioDiscovery division enabled us to have an understanding of the complex scientific processes involved in this technology and we were able to turn that into a visually compelling story that is meaningful and dynamic.

Web and Print Ads, Package Design, Response Analysis

Since 2008, we’ve been helping one of NanoInk’s newest divisions with their marketing efforts. We’ve developed integrated campaigns that have included media research for the most appropriate journals for their target market, print ads, banner ads, tradeshow materials as well as science-based posters for their conferences. Our print ads have won high readership awards and the banner ads have sustained high click through rates. We are about to begin a 3rd campaign for this division.

Examples from nanotechnology textbook project

The process of making the client’s sketch a reality involves lots of listening and then pulling together the multiple talents of a designer and assembling a team of talented artists to transform rough ideas into something understandable and memorable.

Because curious minds want to know

Getting lost in data has never been more fun

A interactive map found on Forbes.com is an example of making raw data so engaging that it’s hard to stop playing around with the graphic. Data on every county in America is accessible.  Now you can find out just how many people are moving to and from the county in which you live or have lived and where everyone is going to or arriving from.  Now we know why traffic in Austin is such a hassle.

Have fun!

Playing it cool

Our office mascot, Sampson, has become quite the celebrity about town. He was spotted at the Buda Weiner Dog Races sporting his doggles, which garnered him a spot in the Austin American Statesman.

View his online photo at the Austin-American Statesman.

Being all of 18 years old, Sampson still manages to get around Austin and San Antonio and makes friends wherever he goes.

He keeps an eye on things around the office, making sure we all keep busy while he lounges comfortably on his red blanket in his plush little dog bed.
